Figure - lots of drawing, with work on planes, colour, pose and the form of muscle and bone; experiments with paint, chalk, good old charcoal, ink and a stick, collage and Lino cut. Ending with a piece that’s large and colourful.
In contemporary Art Practice (my, what a challenge) something completely different. My powers of illustration are being set free by being able to swim with different media - working with plaster plastic, cutting and moulding. Allowed to explore (my dislike of) Abstract I see how it evolved and find that it can assist in illustration setting me free to say and meditate more profoundly.
So I’ve come up with (am still working on) a window mounted cutout piece (think, Matisse, Mary Evans). It’s green is The Marriage at the end of time. Food for thought led by Psalm 35 after starting with Kandinsky!
